Previous name of Delhi Capitals, Just ahead of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, the Delhi Daredevils changed their name to Delhi Capitals. The announcement of the name change was made by owners GMR Group and JSW Sports at an event in Delhi. Along with the name change, the owners also introduced a new logo. Over the past nine years, Delhi’s IPL teams haven’t achieved much in the tournament.

Since 2008, the team has successfully reached the semi-finals in the previous two editions, but has reached the playoffs only once since then, in 2012.He finished last in the IPL 2018.

In 2019 the DC not only changed their logo and team name but they also tried to give a total new picture to the team they had young talents like Rishabh Pant and also experience player like Gautam Gambhir which gave a great balance to the team. Since 2019 many changes were made in the team and now in IPL DC is considered as on of the challenging competitors.

JSW, In March 2021, the two parties announced the extension of the agreement whereby JSW will own the main branding rights to the front of DC matchday shirts until IPL 2023.

Greenpanel Industries, one of India’s largest wood panel manufacturers, has announced its association with Delhi Capitals as its lead partner ahead of the IPL 2023 season. Under the agreement, Greenpanel’s logo will appear on Capitals match shirts throughout IPL 2023.

Wrong Active, they are the official kit providers to the DC since IPL 2021.

Reliance JIO, they are doing the sponsorship of eight other teams and the logo can be seen on the sleeves on the T-shirts.

Royal Stag, they became sponsor in 2022. Through the association, the Royal Stag aims to strengthen its bond with cricket fans across the country.

JBL, They are the official exclusive audio and Headgear sponsor and the logo can be seen on DC batting headgears.

Mahindra, Mahindra, an Indian multinational car manufacturer based in Ludhiana, has also signed a co-sponsorship deal with DC ahead of IPL 2023.

Zed Black, they are the associate sponsors of DC. They joined the DC ahead of this season only.
