A 2nd innings in Test Cricket – As Opener
The Indian Cricket Team made a decision to advance Rohit Sharma to the top of the order as an opener. Despite scoring a century in his first Test innings, Rohit’s career graph declined over the following few years.
However, Rohit smashed a hundred in his first innings as India’s Test opener to end their opening problems. Opening in away Tests against the moving ball will be extremely difficult for Sharma.
Currently, Rohit Sharma scored his first Test century against England in a match that was played outside of India.

Rohit Sharma struggled several times to keep his position in the team over the course of the four years between his first and third Test centuries. Even his third century came against an extremely inexperienced Sri Lankan team.
However, after this high, he was unable to build on the positives and found it difficult to maintain consistency. The constant switching between the different formats hasn’t helped either.
However, things began to improve once he was made the opener for the South African series onward.
Rohit Sharma rose quickly to become one of the best players for India. After scoring a twin century in his debut, he was able to set a significant record. India was able to score more than 500 runs at the time, despite his 176-run first innings total.
A century against South Africa in the second innings came after that. Rohit Sharma also hit an incredible 13 sixes during the innings, which is the most by any batsman in a single Test match. In the Test format, it is very typical for great batsmen to have a couple of double hundreds.
